Farmer's Choice Salad Share: Huntington Pick up
Our Farmer’s Choice Salad Share feeds 1-2 enthusiastic salad eaters for the week, or a family for a taste of exquisite salads sprinkled throughout the week. Runs 23 weeks from May 8-October 9, and includes 5-7 items per week.
In the Farmer’s Choice Share, we choose the cream of the crop from the farm that week, and you pick it up onsite at the beautiful and historic Jubilee Farmstand. An excellent option for Huntington locals, those who would rather avoid the farmers market, and those who enjoy the adventure and ease of having your farmers select your veggies for you.
You will receive a complimentary locally-printed, organic New Tradition Farm tote bag for packing your share, looking fabulous, and spreading the word about the best salads around…along with a message about world peace and cucumbers!
Craft a variety of salads out of these top-notch weekly offerings:
Lettuce mix
Baby greens you can add into your salad or sauté. Includes spinach, arugula, zesty greens mix, baby kale, or a delightful combination of the aforementioned.
Microgreens: With up to 40x the nutritional value of their adult vegetable counterparts, microgreens are a superfood that can elevate a salad to become a truly spiritual experience.
2-3 jazzy toppings or flavor accents--think carrots, baby beets, sugar snap peas, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, radishes, basil, scallions etc.
If you want to sign up for a share, but cost is a barrier, consider signing up through NOFA-VT’s farmshare program, which will give you a 25-75% discount. Act fast! Funding usually runs out by early February. You can also contact us directly to set up payment plan if you’d like to pay in installments.
